Cosmetic Surgery Aftercare
Lower your risk of infection before surgery and recover more rapidly!
Dr. Vodder's Manual Lymph Drainage is a gentle, relaxing, light-touch therapy that alleviates post-surgery pain, reduces bruising and swelling, facilitates healing and promotes rapid recovery.
Treatment should begin before surgery since therapy improves the efficiency of the lymphatic system. Treatment before surgery also "primes" your body to allow for improved healing. Your body's natural response to surgery is to swell, having therapy before surgery allows your body to cleanse the lymph vessel system thereby reducing the amount of swelling after surgery.

What is Manual Lymphatic Drainage (MLD)?
MLD is a gentle hands-on technique, which can reduce or prevent fluid retention, enhance the removal of toxins from body tissues, accelerate the body's healing process, and support the immune system.
If lymph circulation stagnates, toxins accumulate and compromise cellular functioning, which opens the way to physical ailments. This can be caused by inactivity, consumption of inappropriate food/beverages and reduced water intake.
Swelling increases the amount of space that nutrients and oxygen have to go through to heal an area after surgery. Because of the decreased amount of oxygen and nutrients, people experience pain, bruising, stiffness and numbness. The sooner swelling is reduced, the sooner these symptoms will be resolved.
What are the Benefits of MLD?
MLD is great for detoxification, fatigue and general well-being. It is beneficial both prior to and following surgery, as well as healing from injuries. It encourages the production of collagen which will give you a fresh, radiant appearance.
